Is charter and Spectrum the same company? ›

Spectrum is the trade name of Charter Communications, which is widely used by market consumers and commercial cable television channels, internet, telephone, and wireless service providers. The brand was first introduced in 2014; prior to that, these services were marketed primarily under the Charter brand.

Yes, you can return your Spectrum equipment to any Spectrum Store. You can also return your equipment by bringing it to a UPS Store during store hours. The UPS Store will take care of the rest. If you can't visit a UPS or Spectrum store, you can request a Home Shipment Return Kit by contacting Spectrum.

Spectrum reported in its latest earnings report that it has lost 405,000 cable TV customers nationwide just for the 1st quarter of 2024, and lost 279,000 phone customers, as consumers switch to their cell providers for phone servicce.

Charter lost 405,000 video subs (392,000 residential and 13,000 business), lowering its total to 13.71 million (13.11 million residential and 606,000 business). That loss was much higher than the -242,000 expected by analysts. First quarter total revenues were flat (+0.2%) at $13.67 billion.
