As lovely to behold as it is engrossing to watch, The Jungle Book is the rare remake that actually improves upon its predecessors -- all while setting a new standard for CGI.

Luke R This nor the original are not good films. Honestly, The Jungle Book 2 is better. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/28/24 Full Review Maria O Personally, I think it's even better than the original. Loved it. The suspense in some scenes too. The CGI has to be some of the best I've ever seen. it's incredible. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Emily B Very good. A must see. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/09/24 Full Review Dale R A boy raised by wolves takes a walk through the jungle and happens upon animals with differing opinions on his well being. To the film's credit, it is wonderful to look at. Knowing that the only real thing we are looking at is Neel Sethi, who plays Mowgli, is truly a wonder for the time. All the animal characters look photo realistic. Casting Bill Murray as Baloo was a terrific idea. Ben Kingsley is great as Bagheera, Idris Elba plays a menacing Shere Khan and I love Scarlett Johansson’s take on Kaa. Now here is the problem: they tried to keep the musical aspect of the original animated feature. I love the music from the original, I believe the music made that movie great. But here it is gutted from its intended purpose and is only included for nostalgic reasons. Scarlett Johansson’s version of “Trust In Me” is great, but they only used it during the end credits because they needed her character to be an exposition dump. That is a terrible use of Johansson’s talent and the money they spent for her studio time to voice Kaa. I could rant about this film for quite awhile, but to sum up I think this film is only worth a watch if you’re interested in the technical animation achievement that it represents. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Kiandra N An absolute must see!, the movie is great and it's enjoyable for me. One of live action movie that better than the original, the plot is clean. And also great casting. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/06/24 Full Review David G Probably one of the best coming-of-age movies I've ever seen. I regard myself as a tough man and Y cryed like a baby in the third act. The CGI is spotless. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/02/24 Full Review Read all reviews
